Welcome to the Inner Light Spiritualist Church!
Minister's Message
SPRING IS HERE! Spring celebrates the rebirth of all things resting over the long winter. As the trees bud out, I am reminded of our own reawakening which we hold so dear. As we each celebrate the new beginnings in our lives let us remember and thank the Creator for the generosity bestowed upon us. In each new day find the blessing that makes it unique from all that preceded it. Rejoice in the bright blue sky, white clouds, and brisk winds of Spring reminding us of the rest we just completed. As flowers redecorate our Spring landscape take time to admire the splendor each brings. Pay attention to the minute changes and appreciate them for the difference, the uniqueness, each brings to the panorama of our lives. As each has its own energy and contribution it brings forth opening and closing until it falls to be recycled by Mother Earth. Focus your natural energy in recycling the old and making it new again. Namaste! In Love and Light, Rev. Gloria J. Nye, NST, CM
Many people ask if Spiritualists believe in God. We believe in God or Infinite Intelligence, and that everything and everyone is a part of God. We also believe in communication with those who have passed on. We are all energy, and as such, cannot be destroyed. Our spirit consists of our essence. It is who we are. It continues to live in the Spirit World and as a result is able to reach back and communicate with us. What a comfort this is to those who are grieving the loss of someone near and dear. Spiritualism is a religion that teaches personal responsibility. Our 7th Principle states,"We affirm the moral responsibility of the individual and that we make our own happiness or unhappiness as we obey or disobey Nature's physical and spiritual laws." In other words, what ever we put out there comes back to us in one way or another. The choice is up to us. We cannot blame God for what goes wrong in our lives as we have free will. This not a new religion. Modern Spiritualism began in 1848 but humanity has believed in life after physical death since the beginning of man's time on Earth.
What is Spiritualism?
As the Sunflower turns its face to the sun, so Spiritualism turns the face of humanity to the light of truth.
