PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
It has been a little while since my last president’s letter,
and who knows where all that time has gone. It is now
very close to the middle of February and it seems that
winter is gearing up for a big finish. In the last few weeks
we have had to cancel our service due to the weather,
and if that bothers anyone else, like it does me, you
should know that it pains me to have to be one of those
decision makers. I know that it is always better to error on
the side of caution, but it makes the next Sunday seem so
far away. I miss connecting and catching up with
everyone. I seem to find myself praying more, and
connecting in with Spirit more when I miss a Sunday, and I
am always thankful for the knowledge that Spirit is with me
whether I am at home, driving around or sitting at church
on a Sunday.
Since winter is almost over and spring will be here before
we know it, I would like to remind everyone that this will
be the time when we start planning on how to come out of
our cocoons and what we will do once we are out of the
cocoon. We will eventually be able to pick a Sunday and
actually hold a board meeting, and I can not stress to all of
you how wonderful and important it is to be involved in
our church. The board members come up with many great
ideas, but it is always nice to have the members share
their thoughts and ideas. So, when making the plans for
eruption from the cocoon, plan to attend a board meeting
and share with us your ideas.
